My experience has been very frustrating and I guess I will just continue to make do with the 100/100 speeds I'm currently experiencing.

When they finally get around to pricing the internet upgrade without the tv upgrade the increase usually comes to around $50 a month rather than the $33 as indicated online (the plan they originally push including the upgrade to the Most Fios TV is around an additional $60 a month.) All I want them to do is adjust the online offer to include the $12 discount on the equipment. I make it perfectly clear upfront that the only upgrade that I want is with the internet and that I want Verizon to stick with their promise of a $33 monthly increase for the upgrade.

So I have tried to utilize the online chat option and they always try selling me an upgrade to my TV service along with the upgrade to the internet speed (for commission probably). The new pricing online does not include the $12 discount. The charge on my current plan (for 4 set top boxes) is $48 minus a $12 discount. The $12 difference is in the equipment costs. But when I arrive at the final screen before committing to the change, the increase is ends up being $45 a month. It depends on the size and construction of your house, but you could reasonably expect it to work if your house is a standard two floor house with no dimension exceeding 50 ft.There is an offer at to upgrade to a gigabit with what they state is an increase from my current plan at $33 a month. I've had my router in my basement without issues or need for a mesh system. Then, you can just connect your router's WAN or ("Internet") labeled Ethernet port to it. If you have a lower speed plan, you have to call Verizon and ask them to configure the Ethernet port as active on your ONT. That's where you'd connect your own non-Verizon router, or the Verizon supplied router if you have one of the higher speed plans that the MoCA coaxial cable can't support.

I run Avast free version for Virus protection. Try to load and run Malwarebytes free version and scan for spyware. There should also be an Ethernet port on the ONT. Now in regards to In Home Agent, it is used by tech support and Verizon to assist you with trouble shooting issues with your system. The coaxial cable will also be carrying your TV service, if you have it.

You connect your router to it via a coaxial cable, if it's a Verizon supplied router. It breaks down the fiber signal into the individual signals carried on the fiber (Internet, TV and FiOS TV). Questions about Verizon Wireless can be directed to:
